There are a handful of new features, but the main feature will be Siri integration. As we have heard, there are two sides of the same coin as is the case with MacOS Sierra. If you are a student, and there are some essential apps you cannot survive one day without then think before you install Sierra. You'll face a lot of problems during first few days of update plus there will be some incompatible apps that would simply not work with the update.

Before you update your Mac make sure you have saved your data as you don’t want to lose it. But if you don’t remember all your passwords and don’t have enough time to backup all your data then it’s not a good time to install MacOS Sierra.
